These are some people that I figure could be useful, for a scenario or for any other setting that you might find them useful for. I've added them here because I like sharing and because it makes me happy to find similar deposits of stuff.
Genre: Can be adapted to any type of game
Inspiration: A game concept I did for a company that I was applying for work at. I got seriously inspired by the setting. I'm not sure they were as thrilled.
Character description: "Hazy Jane" King
"Hazy Jane" has earned her nickname from drugging potential victims with knock out drops after having lured them into a hotel room or similar. "Hazy Jane" then proceeds to steal all their belongings and make sure that she leaves a hefty tab from the mini bar on her way out. "Hazy Jane" also indulges in blackmail, making sure that she has some incriminating photographs to show interested parties should the need arise.
"Hazy Jane" was born Phyllis Janice King in the worst parts of Chicago in 1918. She managed to get a job as a secretary at one time, but after the boss suggested that they go to a hotel to "have some fun on the company tab", "Hazy Jane" quit the job, brained her boss with a heavy candlestick and made off with all his money.
"Hazy Jane" tried prostitution But found she didn't like it very much, and besides, her talents ran more to the robbery and blackmail kind of life, since the profits were much better that way.
"Hazy Jane" has a working relationship with many criminals in the city, most of whom she has made perfectly clear that any other relationship might prove fatal. She sometimes takes lovers, but she usually makes sure to dump them at first sign of "trouble" - that is, them professing their love to the very charming and beautiful Jane - and so far she has managed to rack up a sizable amount of youngsters just dying to help her out if she needs them.
Her longest working relationship is with a shady P.I. known as "Stubbs". "Stubbs" is the man taking the pictures that has kept "Hazy Jane" and some other criminal elements of Chicago out of prison for quite a while.
Personality: "Hazy Jane" is charming and can be very persuasive and seductive should she feel a need to be. She can also be hard as nails when it comes to negotiation. She's also very strict as to whom she lets into her life. "Hazy Jane" has been hurt once too often.
Looks: "Hazy Jane" is a true knockout. She's got well brushed long black hair, carefully curled to form a soft frame for a slim and sophisticated face. "Hazy Jane" is beautiful in a timeless fashion. Some compare her to Nefertiti, and someone once said that she has a face that will never grow old.
She's curvy, but not fat. Curvaceous is a word commonly used when describing her. She's not shy of showing herself off either, often choosing quite modest but very sexy outfits.

Inspiration: A discussion on the Mutant forum about player characters and the uses of cooking in the game.
Character description: Jemmy Håning
Jemmy Honey is a master chef, and so exclusive that her dishes can be found nowhere in the usual restaurants. No, Miss Honey you'll have to book, including the menu, at least a month in advance before the party. A booking results in miss Honey taking her traps, herbgathering tools and a huge assortment of jars and boxes on her little van, and move out in the wilderness to gather her ingredients for the coming feast.
Jemmy also brings her own cooking equipment to the party, and many a nobleman has felt his stomach turn as the dainty little mutated ferret swiftly and precisely bites the head off of some of the live animals she has captured for the party.
Usually, it's worth it, since the scents wafting from Jemmy's little portable stove make even the most well cooked lobobster smell rather plain.
Jemmy is a brilliant cook. And a brilliant trapper, and she's very valuable to bring along on prolonged trips out into the wilderness since she's very able to find food and cook it.
Personality: Jemmy is a very agreeable little ferret, and as long as she can cook, she's very happy. She's a bit neurotic when it comes to her tools, and she's not very happy if she has to leave any of it behind.
Looks: Jemmy has a fairly large nose and a cleft upper lip. She's got small ears, and short white fur in her face. Her eyes are very big, and totally black. She's got a long body and fairly short arms and legs, and she also has a tendency to bark happily when she's excited.

Inspiration: A discussion on the Mutant forum about player characters and the uses of old technology, and what finds would be interesting.
Character description: Jarl Knutsohn
Jarl is an ageing mutated dog, with one of the most sensitive noses in all of Hindenburg. He has a long career as a detective and zonetraveller behind him, and is one of the most venerated old dogs in the business. A lot of the younger zone travellers look to him for advice on the more dangerous travels, and he's always ready to listen and give advice. Jarl is also one of the most specialized collectors in the city. All visitors that really want attention from the old dog, bring smells and scents for him.
Jarl has a library with smells and scents in old shoeboxes, glass jars and metal boxes. The very special scents (such as old chewing gum, leather and perfumes) he keeps in tight boxes of plastics that he only opens on rare occasions, with good dog friends. They sniff the scents together with a nice glass of konjack or tokjos.
Personality: Jarl is a slow, quiet and thoughful dog, who has become almost blind in his old age. He enjoys tastes and smells all the more. He's a generous spirit, and has many friends around town, always giving advice on different topics.
Looks: Jarl is grizzled and grey, a bloodhounds droopy chins and ears frame a grey, fur covered face. His eyes are brown and kind, but somewhat dim. When no-one is around, he wears a pair of thick glasses, but his vanity doesn't allow him to wear them in public.

Inspiration: A name and a discussion between me and my boyfriend.
Character description: Måttfrid Ghuurka
Måttfrid's mission in life is to recreate a book he found in his youth in one of the forbidden zones during his many travels. It describes how extraterrestrials have descended to earth and infiltrated humanity. He's found many references to the book that is written by an author called Rohubbard, Måttfrid is convinced that the book will reveal the truth behind the forbidden zones.
Måttfrid himself is too old to be a zonefarer now, but he hires people to do it for him. The only thing he asks is more books about and by Rohubbard.
Personality: A dry and fairly crusty person, like an old leather chair that can house the most malformed mutant. Måttfrid has very few prejudices, in part because he himself is a mutant, but also because his curiosity has made him a learned person.
Looks: Middle aged, tall skinny man. He's slightly stooped and supports his gangly body with a cane made of oak. An old tweed suit is what he most often wears with a ragged woolen sweater underneath.
